Shaun's love of weather started early. It was while in the second grade, when a local meteorologist visited his class, that Shaun first realized what he wanted to do when he grew up. Shaun spent the summers of his youth living and working on his grandparent's farm in Eastern Washington State. While farming he realized how important an accurate weather forecast is to people.

Shaun has a B.S. in Meteorology from San José State University. He got his start as a weather producer at Telemundo in the San Francisco Bay Area. His first on air job came in Billings, Montana followed by a stay in Spokane. Shaun holds the distinguished American Meteorological Society Seal of Approval.
