Sylvia Rincon
Sylvia Rincon was born and raised in San Antonio. Graduated from Highlands High and the University of the Incarnate Word. She started working as a news radio reporter at KTSA. In 1999 she got a gig in Austin at KLBJ newsradio for the morning show where she also anchored. Started in television at KEYE in Austin on the assignments desk and as a writer before getting a break with ABC 15 in Phoenix. For two and a half years she worked there as a producer, reporter and morning show fill in anchor. Came back home August 2002 to work at KABB with my fellow news hounds. I love this city and I am a die-hard for the first amendment.
In 2000 won a Texas AP award in Austin
2001 nominated for Rocky Mountain Emmy.
