Jonathan Martinez
Jonathan Martinez is a life-long Texan. Born and raised in Galveston, Jonathan worked every job you can imagine in his family's Mexican restaurant before moving on to Nacogdoches, where he graduated with honors from Stephen F. Austin State University. After college, Jonathan worked as an anchor and reporter for a station in Beaumont, TX. During that time he covered several major storm-related stories after the area was devastated by Hurricane Rita. His coverage earned him numerous awards from both the Press Club of Southeast Texas and the Texas Associated Press. That work eventually landed him a job here as a reporter for FOX News at Nine in San Antonio. He joined the news team in May 2007--just in time to see another great team at work--the San Antonio Spurs, as they rolled to their fourth NBA Championship.
Jonathan visited the Alamo City several times with his family on vacation and says there's no other place he'd rather be living and working than San Antonio. Plus, here he can enjoy the great Mexican restaurants, without being put to work.
